Welcome to the Corona-Norco Unified School District’s website. Here at CNUSD you will find a district that meets all your family’s needs. We offer high-caliber Academic, Athletic, and Arts programs to meet the varied needs families have in today’s diverse global community.
CNUSD continues to be a leader in public education throughout our region and state. As I took on the role of Superintendent back in 2020, I set two important goals for the district: 1) to hold the highest graduation rate in Riverside County, and 2) to be the leader in English Language Arts and Mathematics scores in our county. These goals provide clarity for our school system, are grounded on foundational skills, transfer across all disciplines/grade levels, and provide the necessary problem-solving opportunities and skills needed for 21st-century education.
In 2021 we established a five-year Strategic Plan to guide the work in our District. Our 2021-2026 Strategic Plan includes four main components:
- Academic Excellence
- Student Well-Being
- Equity
- Effective Governance
As your Superintendent, I am committed to continuing to champion equity, inclusion, and access for all in alignment with our Strategic Plan. This is accomplished through a continuous pursuit of our mission, vision, and values. Our mission is to provide high-quality education to meet each student’s academic, social, and emotional needs. To accomplish this, we employ well-trained staff, promote family and community involvement, and create a safe and supportive learning environment.
It gives me great pride to lead an organization with such tremendous talent throughout. We have an organization based on integrity, trusted relationships, and a steadfast focus to address the challenges we face as 21st Century educators; this includes a widely recognized school safety program.
