Please click here to schedule an appointment.
I’ve never tried on dresses before; do I need to know exactly what kind of dress I am looking for before coming in?
Definitely not. Finding your wedding gown is a process and trying on different silhouettes and styles can help you narrow down what you are looking for. It can be helpful for you to share pictures of ideas or styles that you like for our Bridal Stylists to help understand your vision.
How long does it take to order a bridal gown?
Bridal gowns can be ordered through our boutique directly from the designers in a variety of sizes and colors. THE STORY BEHIND MALIBU WINE HIKES
Embark on an adventure with Malibu Wine Safari, where exquisite wines meet exotic animals. Experience thrills of tastings in a wild setting!
SHANE SEMLER ON SADDLEROCK RANCH
Ron Semler purchased the land that would become Saddlerock Ranch in 1978 after The Great Malibu Fire the same year. Starting at 220 acres, meant only to be used by one of his daughters for horseback riding, Ron quickly fell in love with the property and began to expand the ranch.
He bought up nearby parcels of land and settled on it with his wife, Lisa Semler, making a beautiful home for himself, his spouse, and his nine children.
Now, Saddlerock Ranch is 1100 acres and home to many species of wild flora and fauna, farm animals, hardworking ranch hands, Semler family members, and Malibu Wine Hikes!
In 1992, the first grapevines were planted, and the first vintage was bottled in 1997. The first varietal was Sauvignon Blanc, grown as a gift for Lisa, as it was her favorite wine to drink. After that, grapevines flourished on the property, especially the hardy black grapes that made up juicy red wines such as Malbec, Syrah, and Saddlerock’s flagship grape, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Shane’s Passion to Share the Wine & His Piece of Malibu
One of Ron Semler’s children, Shane Semler, founded Malibu Wine Hikes in 2015. Having grown up on the ranch, Shane had quickly developed a love for hiking the massive property and nearby trails. He would watch his mother, Lisa, enjoy hiking the property every day with their family dogs, and this gave him an idea.
Why not allow others to enjoy the gorgeous private property and find the same enjoyment in soaking up the fresh air, sunlight, and nature. The desire to share the beauty of the vineyard and Malibu wine country inspired his business, and thus, Malibu Wine Hikes was born, making it one of the most unique things to do in Malibu. For over 6 years, Shane has been sharing the beauty of the ranch through wine hikes. After a few years, his business expanded to include experiences in unique vehicles like side by side 4×4 tours and groovy Volkswagen wine bus tours.
You can share the experience of exploring Saddlerock Ranch with your loved ones by gifting one of our wine tasting gift cards.

OUR RANGE OF AWARD-WINNING WINES.
The vines at Rosenthal – The Malibu Estate were first planted in 1987, making it the first vineyard in Malibu. This 28-acre estate is located within four miles of the ocean at 1450 feet above sea level, within a perfect microclimate for growing high-quality grapes.
Rosenthal was designated its very own American Viticulture Area: Malibu Newton Canyon A.V.A. No other wines in the world include grapes grown within the mini-microclimates of Malibu-Newton Canyon.
For a bottle of wine to be called Rosenthal, 100% of the grapes used must be sourced from our Malibu estate. Our “G” collection wines blend a combination of Rosenthal Estate grown grapes with other grape varietals from California that are not grown on our estate to bring you unique blends.
Varietals grown on the estate include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Viognier and Chardonnay. At harvest they are picked by hand, then aged in the finest French Oak barrels.
A TASTING ROOM WITH A VIEW
Rosenthal – The Malibu Estate Tasting Room is located Just across from the beach in Malibu, CA. The Rosenthal Tasting Room offers a casual atmosphere in which to discover and enjoy our full selection of Rosenthal and Surfrider wines.
Come and enjoy the Food Trucks Saturdays and Sundays at Rosenthal with an ocean view from our exquisite garden patio. Also, feel free to bring your own food or picnic (no outside alcohol allowed.)
Please note that Saturdays and Sundays are strictly 21+ only — no infants or children. For parties of 2-30 on Saturday and Sunday reservations are recommended but no longer required. And we always allow walk-ins at a first come, first served basis. We look forward to seeing you soon!

THE HARBOUR STORY
Almost 60 years ago, Rich Harbour’s prized, albeit beat-up and used surfboard was stolen from his parents’ garage, forcing him to shape one of his own as a replacement. It wasn’t long before many of the locals were asking Rich to make them surfboards. Soon Harbour’s boards were gracing the pages of Surfer Magazine underneath the feet of the era’s most respected surfers.
While a lot has changed since that first board, Harbour Surfboards remains the home of the world’s oldest surfboard manufacturing shop at the same continuous Seal Beach, Ca., location.
Since 1959 Harbour Surfboards has hand crafted more than 32,000 surfboards, and counting, with quality craftsmanship and attention to design as the philosophy behind each surfboard. Harbour’s position as a trend-setter in the industry and evolving designs are still going strong. And today, both new and vintage Harbour Surfboards are collected and prized by enthusiasts around the world eager to grab a piece of true surfing history.
Harbour Surfboards is located at 329 Main Street in Seal Beach, Calif. It has offered the best in classic and contemporary surfboards since 1959.

ELEVATE YOUR GAME
Players Club members get the royal treatment with exciting perks and special offers. The more you play, the more you earn!
HIDDEN GEM–A lot of people who visit or even live in Los Angeles don’t realize that there’s an active casino just outside of downtown, in Inglewood.
In terms of attractions, Inglewood is typically better known for local and spectator sports (the city is home to The Forum after all), its casual dining scene, and a handful of local boutiques — such as Keyks, with their artisan cakes, and Nena’s Organics, with their balms. But Inglewood is also home to Hollywood Park Casino, which is a legitimate LA-area poker room that many don’t realize exists. Reports on LATimes.com in recent years have suggested potential crackdowns on establishments like this one, but for now (and for the foreseeable future), the Hollywood Park Casino is fully legal and fully functioning.
It’s really a bit of a hidden gem in LA County — just far enough from downtown LA to go largely unnoticed, and existing despite the fact that most would probably assume casino activity of all kinds is prohibited in California. There’s a reason, after all, that most in LA who like casinos simply load up their cars and drive a few hours northeast to Vegas! For those who are interested in card tables rather than slots, entertainment, and general attractions though, the Hollywood Park Casino gets the job done.
Furthermore, we have some specific tips on how you can prepare for a visit and ultimately enjoy yourself as much as possible.
Practice in Advance
Most important of all is to practice your card games before you go. You don’t need to take things too seriously, but finding some free poker and blackjack games for a bit of casual play will help you to get used to things before you confront the slightly more intimidating scenario of sitting at a card table with real chips in play. ExpressDigest.com mentions that it’s easy enough to find free casino card games online, particularly popular ones such as slots, baccarats, and craps, or through your app store. Even a few games will help to refresh you and prepare you for the real thing.
Learn Texas Hold’Em
While you’re practicing, you’d also do well to refresh yourself on a few varieties of poker that you’ll find at the Hollywood Park Casino — especially Texas Hold’em. This is the most popular kind of poker, and under that are even more varieties, one of the most common being the No-Limit. Poker.org explains that No-Limit has the same rules as all other forms of Texas Hold’em. However, the difference is that No-Limit requires you to have more patience and persistence, alongside a sizeable bankroll. One bad hand can cause you to lose all your chips in this type of high-variance game. But this is what makes No-Limit so exciting to players. After all, you have the chance to double-up in one hand even if you have a big stack, which is impossible to do in Hold’em games with limited betting.
Learn Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow is another variety of poker that can be played either with cards or — similarly — with tiles. In the poker-style variety it’s a game in which players are dealt seven cards and charged with dividing them into two hands: one of five cards and one of two. Once this is done, the hands are placed face down, and the dealer arranges his or her own hands out of seven cards. Then, cards are revealed; players whose five- and two-card hands both defeat their respective counterparts from the dealer win what they’ve bet. Another wrinkle to this game is that Joker cards are in the deck, and can be used to complete straights or straight flushes, as well as stand in as Aces.
Form a Blackjack Strategy
If you’re less of a poker player, or you just want to try a handful of different games, you may well find yourself at a blackjack table while you’re at Hollywood Park Casino as well. And it’s actually an ideal game for beginners. Per a very interesting article posted on Medium.com, novices will make correct decisions “most of the time” — up to about 80-90% of it, in fact. There’s a common-sense logic to blackjack that kicks in and helps even total newcomers to play quite intelligently. Nevertheless, there are still probabilities and strategies you can learn that can fairly quickly take you to an even higher percentage of correct decisions. That doesn’t mean you’ll always win, because chance plays a role. But this is one card game in which you can just about ensure you’re doing all the right things to win.
Save Your Appetite
Finally, card strategies aside, make sure to visit with an appetite! Part of the fun of playing a real, live casino is being able to step away from the tables to indulge in a good bite to eat and have a drink or two, and the Hollywood Park Casino’s Century Bar & Grill accommodates. It’s not the high-end fine-dining spot you’ll find at your average Vegas casino resort, but it’s a classy, appealing venue with a menu full of terrific comfort food. Whether you visit in between games or to cap off the evening, it’s worth a stop.
We hope this will help you to get the most out of a visit to Hollywood Park Casino!

Play 24/7 at The Gardens Casino
No Limit Hold ’em
The Gardens Casino offers: No Limit Hold’em, all players receive two down cards as their personal hand, after which there is a round of betting. Three board cards are turned simultaneously (called the “flop”) and another round of betting occurs. The next two board cards are turned one at a time, with a round of betting after each card. The board cards are community cards, and after the final round of betting, a player may use any five-card combination from among the board and personal cards. A player may even use all of the board cards and no personal cards to form a hand. This is called “playing the board.”
The Gardens Casino Baccarat
The object of the game is to make a choice on which hand, Player or Banker, will end up with a point value closest to nine (9). The Gardens Casino Baccarat plays the same way as regular baccarat except that it eliminates the commission on the Banker Line wagers and replaces it by “barring” one specific winning Bank hand as follows. The winning bank hand consisting of three (3) cards and totaling seven (7) points. The appearance of this hand is known as the “Dragon 7”.
The value of each hand is determined by totaling the sum of the cards. An Ace has a value of 1, the 2 through 9 are face value and the 10, Jack, Queen, and King have a value of 0. The total value of the hand is the last digit when the values of the cards are added. Ex. 9 + 7 = 16 and 6 is the value of the hand.
Customers may place a wager(s) on Player or Banker (Base Game Wager). Players that have placed a Base Game Wager may also place a “Dragon 7″ bet (three (3) card winning Bank hand totaling seven (7) points); Tiger 8 bet (three card winning Player hand totaling eight (8) points or Tie Bet. All wagers must be between the table minimum and table maximum. The Dragon 7 wager can be from table minimum to a maximum of the player’s base wager bet.
Texas Hold’ em
The Gardens Casino offers: In Hold’em, all players receive two down cards as their personal hand, after which there is a round of betting.
Hold’em uses a flat disk called a dealer button to indicate the player who is in the dealer position for that hand (even though a non-playing casino employee actually deals). The dealer button rotates clockwise. The player with the dealer button is last to receive cards on the initial deal and has the right of last action after the first betting round.
One or more blind bets are used to stimulate action and initiate play. Blinds are posted before the players look at their cards. Blinds are part of a player’s bet, unless the structure of a specific game or the situation requires part or all of a particular blind to be “dead.” Dead chips are not part of a player’s bet. The small blind is posted by the player immediately clockwise from the button, and the big blind is posted by the player two positions clockwise from the button.
The player to the left of the blinds initiates action on the first betting round. On all subsequent betting rounds, the action begins with the first active player to the left of the button.
In non-tournament play, the button rotates one position clockwise after each deal. The button must move forward, and the blinds adjust accordingly.
Seven Card Stud
The Gardens Casino offers: Seven-card stud is played with two down cards and one up card dealt before the first betting round, followed by three more up cards (with a betting round after each card). After the last down card is dealt, there is a final round of betting. The best five-card poker hand wins the pot. In all fixed-limit games, the smaller bet is wagered on the first two betting rounds, and the larger bet is wagered betting rounds on the last three. If there is an open pair on the fourth card, any player has the option of making the smaller or larger bet.
Rules of the Game
- The first round of betting is initiated with a forced bet by the lowest value up card. A tie is broken by suit, with the lowest suit being forced to bet. On subsequent betting rounds, the high hand on board initiates the action. Ties are broken by position, with the player who received cards first acting first.
- The player with the forced bet has the option of opening for a full bet.
- Completing an opening forced bet does not count as a raise, but merely as a completion of the bet. For example: In $15-$30 stud, the low card opens for $5. If the next player to act brings the bet to $15 (completion of the bet), three additional raises are then allowed.
- In all fixed-limit games, when an open pair is showing on fourth street (second up card), any player has the option of betting either the lower or the upper limit. For example: In a $5-$10 game, if you have a pair showing and you are the high hand, you may bet either $5 or $10. If you bet $5, any succeeding player has the option to call $5, raise $5, or raise $10. If a $10 raise is made, then all other raises must be in increments of $10. If the player who makes the open pair on fourth street checks, then all other players still have the same options.
- In all games, the dealer announces the low card, the high hand, all raises, and all pairs. In limits of $10-$20 and higher, dealers do not announce possible straight or flush.
- If your first- or second-hole card is accidentally turned up by the dealer, then your third card will be dealt down. If both hole cards are dealt up, you have a dead hand and receive your ante back. If your hand would have been the low card, as a result of the first card dealt faceup, action will start with the first hand to your left. That player may fold, open for the amount of the forced bet, or open for a full bet.
- If you are not present at the table when it is your turn to act on your hand, you forfeit your ante and your forced bet, if any. If you have not returned to the table in time to act on your hand, the hand will be killed in turn.
- If you fold a hand after making a forced bet, or fold when there is no wager, your seat will continue to receive cards until a bet is made.
- If you are all in for the ante and you have the lowest card, the player to your left may come in for the forced bet, make the maximum bet, or fold the hand.
- If the wrong person is designated as low and that person bets, the action will be corrected to the proper low card, if at all possible. The true low card must bet, and the improperly designated low card may take back the incorrectly forced wager.
- If the dealer burns two cards for one round or fails to burn a card, the cards will be corrected, if at all possible, to their proper positions. If this should happen on a final down card and the cards intermingle with a player’s hole cards or a player looks at the card, the player must accept the card.
- If a dealer burns and deals one or more cards before a round of betting has been completed, the card(s) must be eliminated from play, along with an additional card for each remaining player still active in the hand. After that round of betting has concluded, the dealer re-burns, and play resumes. (The removed cards are held off to the side in the event the dealer runs out of cards.) If the prematurely dealt card is the final down card and has been looked at or intermingled with the player’s other hole cards, the player must keep the card. If there is further betting on sixth street, a player who has seven cards may not raise.
- If there are not enough cards left in the deck for all players, the dealer will deal all the cards except the last card, which is mixed with the burn cards and any cards removed from the deck, as in the previous rule. The dealer then scrambles and cuts these cards, burns again, and delivers the remaining down cards, using the last card if necessary. If there are not as many cards as players remaining without a card, the dealer does not burn, so that each player can receive a fresh card. If the dealer determines that there will not be enough fresh cards for all of the remaining players, then the dealer announces to the table that a common card will be used. The dealer will burn a card and turn one card face up in the center of the table. This card plays in everyone’s hand. The player who is now high using the community card initiates the action for the last round.
- If you pick up your up cards without calling a bet when facing a wager, and by doing so cause someone to act behind you (even in a heads-up situation), your hand is dead.
- You must have seven cards to win at the showdown.
- A card dealt off the table must play, and it is treated as an exposed card.
- If the dealer turns the last card face up to any player, the following rules apply:
- If there are more than two players, all remaining players receive their last card facedown. Prior to action for the round of betting, a player whose last card is exposed will have the option of participating in the wagering or being declared all in.
- If there are only two players remaining and the first player’s final down card is dealt face up, the second player’s final down card will also be dealt face up, and the betting proceeds as normal. In the event the first player’s final card is dealt facedown, and the opponent’s final card is dealt face up, the player with the exposed card will have the option of declaring all in. This decision must be made prior to any action on that round.
- In any of the above situations, the player who is now high on the board using all the up cards will start the action.
- If you call a bet even though you are beaten by an opponent’s up cards, you are not entitled to a refund.

Ahoy There!
The Catalina Island Yacht Club is one of the oldest and most unique yacht clubs in Southern California, with a history rich in the lore and tradition of the Island.
In 1893, the Banning brothers, original owners of the Island, formed the first yacht club on the Island, the Catalina Yacht Club, primarily for the use of Islanders like themselves. For reasons unknown, the Club failed, and it was a decade later, in 1903, that boating residents of the Island attempted another organizing effort; this time founding the Sophia Yacht Club on the approximate site of the present Club. SYC’s purpose was to provide a dinghy landing and gathering point for boat owners, and the Club was apparently quite active until the great fire of 1915, which razed the town and its bayside facilities.
Fortunately, the Sophia Yacht Club pilings were spared, and for several years, the area was used as a temporary mooring site for boat repairs and as a primitive dinghy landing. Then, in 1924, Tuna Club members Art Sanger and James Jump, yielding to the imploring of their wives, decided that the Island needed a social club to complement the Tuna Club’s emphasis on sport and trophy fishing. They turned up thirty yachtsmen willing to pay the $100 initiation fee and dues, plus $400 on a promissory note, for improved marital relations with their hitherto neglected wives. Hollywood legends became frequent members of the Club. These included James Cagney, Johnny Weismuller, Darryl F. Zanuck, Walter Huston, Tom Mix, world famous violinist Jascha Heifetz and many more.
Catalina Island Yacht Club has plaques to recognize Hollywood Stars that were Members of the Club. In addition to names above Ed McMahon, Steve Skinner, & Milton “Shorty” Rogers were Members. Ed was most famous as Johnny Carson’s side kick and announcer on The Tonight Show. Steve produced 1,000 hits including the ABC News. Shorty was one of the principal creators of West Coast Jazz. George Schlatter was a member and a longtime producer in Hollywood. One of his many major hits was “Laugh In”.
On August 24, 1924, the Catalina Island Yacht Club held its first Opening Day in its newly completed clubhouse, under the leadership of Commodore Jump. The Club has operated continuously ever since, except for a brief period during the war years of 1942-45, when it was occupied by the Merchant Marine and used as a training facility. The Club was returned to its Membership in late 1945. The Club presently numbers approximately 180 Members, many of whom own moorings in Avalon Harbor. There is an active year-round social calendar, with emphasis on the Cruising Season from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Club is a member in good standing of the Southern California Yachting Association, and the Southern California Cruiser Association.
